Where the venue is usually somebody's home, and the plan has to respect the street as much as the guest list.
The area
DHA celebrates privately. Families here tend to choose their own lawn over a hall — partly for control, largely because a house full of relatives is the point of the evening rather than an inconvenience to be managed elsewhere.
It gives the work a particular character. The design brief is smaller and more intimate, but the operational one is harder: a residential build has to arrive, install, run and disappear without leaving a mark on a driveway, a lawn edge or a neighbour's patience.
The phases differ too. Five, six and eight have the lawn depth for a genuine outdoor function with a stage and a proper dance floor. The older phases, with their narrower plots and mature planting, are at their best for a seated dinner or a nikah where the house itself is the backdrop.
Our experience here
Our crews travel into DHA regularly, and over time we have learned to plan backwards from the gate rather than forwards from the mood board. Supplier and vehicle lists go to the relevant phase administration well ahead of the build. Arrivals are staged so that four vans never stand on one residential street at the same time.
We also plan around what a house can actually carry. Domestic supply is never loaded with event lighting or kitchen draw — power comes in on our own generator so nothing in the home flickers when the stage lights come up.

Inspiration
Residential DHA work looks best when it stays close to the architecture instead of hiding it. Warm white light on existing planting, low floral runs that let people see each other across a table, and metal rather than colour doing the ornament.
Trust
Because a home event is an act of trust before it is a design commission. You are letting a production crew into the place your family lives, and the thing clients tell us afterwards is almost never about the stage — it is that nothing was scratched, nobody shouted, and the lawn was back to itself by the following afternoon.
The design matters too, of course. But at this scale, taste is table stakes and behaviour is the differentiator.
