Plated walima service
Individually hung strands
Independent load-tested grid
Layered at three heights
01 — The vision
A walima that felt cool and bright rather than warm and gold — the couple wanted silver light and glass, not candlelight.
02 — The problem
Marquee roofs carry very little load. A crystal ceiling of that density needed its own truss grid, invisible from the floor.
03 — The resolution
An independent rig above the liner, load-tested at twice its final weight, dressed strand by strand across two nights.

The concept
Rain of glass — silver light, white upholstery, no warm accents at all.
Let one material be spectacular and keep everything else silent.

Materials
- Cut crystal strands
- Independent truss grid
- White bouclé upholstery
- Mirror-topped consoles
Florals
Deliberately minimal — white phalaenopsis at the console line only, so glass keeps the eye.
Lighting
4000K key with narrow spots into the crystal, warm 2700K only on skin.

Behind the scenes
Load test
Grid loaded to twice final weight and held overnight before a single crystal was hung.
Strand work
Two crews, two nights, working outward from the centre line.
Focus
Every spot re-aimed after the room was dressed, because crystal moves the light.
“Our walima looked like something out of a film and still ran on time to the minute. Dinner for five hundred and fifty went out without a single cold plate.”
